Rumsfeld's out

I am not sure whether I am gonna miss the man, but he definitely had some fun remarks while addressing journalists. Here is my favourite piece of Donald Rumsfeld's poetic verse.

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

Look who's bloggin'

A government of the people, by the people, for the people. One of the obvious meanings that this phrase carries for me is that those who are up in the ivory tower of government should reach back to those who put them there. Government officials need to stay in touch with all of us. What a better way to do it, than start a blog. Bulgaria's foreign minister, Ivailo Kalfin, has done just that. I hope the blog will grow from what it is now to become an arena of lively discussion about foreign policy, diplomacy, world affairs and whatever else the minister would fancy to discuss!
