Blago Steals the Show

For a third day in a row, Blago’s arrest (that is Rod Blagojevich, the soon-to-be-former governor of Illinois) and the allegations behind it, are national and international news. Blago stole the show from Obama. I tell ya, when it comes to delusions of grandeur, or any kind of delusions for that matter, Blago is pretty close to the top. According to the criminal complaint filed by the Feds, he was not only trying to auction the Senate seat vacated by Obama, but he was even considering appointing himself as a Senator while also thinking about a run for (drum roll) President in 2016!

WAYLA brought up the question of who is going to represent the mighty governor who is enjoying such reassuring single-digit popularity. Well, according to the Trib, Sheldon Sorosky, a family friend, is going to give it a try. Not surprising, since none of the better know names are rushing to Blago’s aid. Maybe Sheldon can get him Ryan as a cell mate. That would be perfect.
