My Journey

Hey readaz. It turns out this is my first posting for 2007! Well, I am not into the new-year resolutions and I don't usually make year-end, lets-see-what-happened kind of self-evaluations, however, I cannot ignore that 2006 marked a major event for me – after 10 years solid in the US, as most of you already know, I have moved to Bulgaria.

It has been a great journey so far! Most of all, my travel around the US and my stay in Chicago has been an unbelievable experience. After so many years of living, working, meeting people, moving from place to place, learning about the US, asking questions, peeking into life’s daily goings-on, all of it trivial, yet somehow fascinating for me, I have come back to the harbor where I sailed from. Now I can reflect on all that happened. Apart from what I achieved personally and professionally, I have to say that the most valuable gift I received (not surprisingly) were the life-long friends I made, friends who were tested by time and circumstances. It's quite amazing, when I think about it, but I have spent almost half of my conscious existence in the US.

I have been a few months in Bulgaria now and after thinking things over, even though I enjoy my stay here, I may be coming back to the US and Chicago. I will give it some more time... time will tell.
